Status, plainly: the Windows version works — not fully featured, but working. The Android and iPhone apps are still in progress and may be unstable.
Windows installer (v4.4) — this is the one most people want. Download it and run it: it installs everything needed, puts a Skooby Remote Support icon on your desktop, and nothing is shared until you press List Device in its window.
Android app (v4.3) — put this on the phone being helped: it lists the phone here so the website can view and control it for remote assistance. New in v4.3: on-screen narration from the supporter, a labelled session pill with a two-step end-session, and built-in crash reporting — if the app ever stops, it keeps a report you can share in one tap. Everything from v3 is still here: device password, voice, two-way video with consent, and file transfer in both directions.
Client file (v4.4, .py) — for Macs, or any machine that already has Python 3: install the pieces with pip install mss pynput websockets pillow sounddevice opencv-python-headless numpy, then run the .py file. New in v4: the supporter’s pointer is drawn on the device’s screen as a pink arrow so the person there can follow along — it glides with a fading trail instead of jumping, and Voice Chat — open conversation instead of push-to-talk, switched on by the person at the device.
